MATH 251: the Student-T Distribution.

Use this page to visualize the Student-T distribution with various degrees of freedom and compare it with the Normal distribution.
You can also find, approximately, what is the area under the curve between any two points.

We display the Student-T distribution. In light green one can see the Standard Normal Distribution.

Enter the the value for the number of degrees of freedom (from 1 to 100) to see variations of the density function. Shown in the graph below is `df=20`.

The Student-T distribution is given by the following pdf:  ` frac{Gamma(frac{n+1}{2})}{sqrt{n pi}   Gamma(frac{n}{2})}(1+frac{x^2}{n})^(-frac{n+1}{2})`

Where `Gamma(n)= int_0^inftyx^{n-1}e^{-x}dx ` is the Gamma function.
